Our designers

MARC THORPE, American designer and architect, founded his creative studio Marc Thorpe Design in 2005, after studying architecture from the Parsons School of Design. Thorpe believes that today's society demands diversification. He decided to start a multidisciplinary design agency, so that he could focus on all facets of design and work in different fields with different scales and sizes.

Marc has worked on a wide range of different projects: from shoe design for Tod's, to furniture for Moroso, to interior concepts for the L'Oreal group. Every new piece was designed with a great amount of enthousiasm and precision. This also goes for the rug he designed for Fem Home: Cross Over.

CHRISTIANE MÜLLER.“I have always been fascinated by the beauty of materials and by the way yarns and effects make up their essence, their colors and structures” states Christiane Müller, partner of Studio Müller Van Tol, in Amsterdam.

Her work focuses on defining the architecture of surfaces: the structure, proportion, dimensioning, colour and character of finishes for floors, walls, ceilings and other interior elements.

She oversees the design and composition of collections manufactured by companies in the interior market. To Christiane Müller, good design means more than functionality and aesthetics. It means ensuring sustainability, affordability and capturing the zeitgeist.

Christiane is a very important member of our Fem Home team. Not only does she single handedly compose the color schemes for all Fem Home products, she also develops her own product-proposals, and offers advice on ongoing developments regularly.
